Too many and too similar to do a climate battle so I’ll just post them here. Used Tommy’s website to find them. To be included, a climate had to have temp, precipitation and snowfall data. I also attempted a rough 1-50 ranking. Here’s a map of where they are: Blue=A Green=B Yellow=C Red=D A RANGE CLIMATESThese lucky states have excellent climates: 1. Goodland, Kansas < > 2. Wheat Ridge, Colorado < > 3. La Grange, Wyoming < > 4. Scottsbluff, Nebraska < > 5. Ardmore, South Dakota < > B RANGE CLIMATES
These states range from having some above average climates to be some very good but great ones. 6. Boise City, Oklahoma < > 7. Billings, Montana < > 8. Fremont state park, Utah < > 9. Dulce, New Mexico < > 10. Walnut Canyon, Arizona < > 11. Kearney, Missouri < > 12. Hartley, Texas < > 13. Ely, Nevada < > 14. Adin, California < > 15. Barnes station, Oregon < > 16. Yellowpine Bar, Idaho < > 17. Colville, Washington < > 18. Shippensburg, Pennsylvania < > 19. Moorefield, West Virginia < > 20. Woodstock, Virginia < > 21. Newark, New Jersey < > 22. Dobbs Ferry, New York < > 23. Charleston, Illinois < > 24. Brookville, Indiana < > 25. Cumberland, Maryland < > 26. Wilmington, Delaware < > 27. Marshall, North Carolina < > 28. Wilmington, Ohio < > 29. Williamstown, Kentucky < > C RANGE CLIMATES
The beat these states can do are just varying degrees of meh climates. 30. Bentonville, Arkansas < > 31. West Medway, Massachusetts < > 32. Tiverton, Rhode Island < > 33. Hartford, Connecticut < > 34. Bristol, Tennessee < > 35. Onawa, Iowa < > 36. Morenci, Michigan < > 37. Lake Geneva, Wisconsin < > 38. Valley Head, Alabama < > 39. Milan, Minnesota < > 40. Nashua, New Hampshire < > 41. Salisbury, Vermont < > 42. Pretty Rock, North Dakota < > 43. Gardiner, Maine < > 44. Jasper, Georgia < > 45. Pelzer, South Carolina < > 46. Ripley, Mississippi < > D RANGE CLIMATES
Even the best climates in these states still suck. 47. Lake Providence, Louisiana < > 48. Kula Hospital, Hawaii < > 49. Jasper, Florida < > 50. Eagle River, Alaska < >

The selection of climates in the Southeast is quite good, easily in the top 25% of climates for some of these states. I think Pelzer, SC is my absolute favorite of these though.

Lake Providence, Louisiana is the best on this group, with Pelzer, SC as a close second.

Salisbury Vermont is my pick of these. The Wisconsin and Michigan climates are a bit too warm and don't get much snow. The Minnesota climate is too dry in winter, and the other New England ones get more winter rain than Salisbury.

My favourite is Marshall, NC. I think it's probably the best North American climate.

Milan, MN, Pretty Rock, ND, and Onawa, IA are my favorite on this list. All B+ and A- climates. Eagle River, AK would be fantastic with warmer summers.
Your favorites are quite decent as well, would rate B- or C+ for me. They're too dry for the most part and a bit too mild in the winter, but the variability is awesome.

2022 update: many new climates on the list and a reshuffling of the rankings. Note: numbers 2-5 and 11-33 are extremely close and a lot of them could be interchangeable so these are very rough. Steelernation what made you switch from Jasper to Pensacola for Florida? I would've thought somewhere like Crestview or Niceville would be the best in FL for you.

Pensacola has a bit cooler highs especially in winter or spring. Crestview is even warmer, Niceville is pretty similar to Pensacola but has just slightly warmer highs and slightly wetter winters so I didn’t pick it.

The cooler lows in Crestview and Niceville wouldn't offset that? I would think you'd prefer having average lows 5 F cooler than having average highs just 1 F cooler.

I don’t think so, they’re both way too warm at night in summer to be comfortable and I feel like they warm up fast so it’s only briefly in the morning when Niceville would be colder when I’m awake. And for an interest factor, cold lows aren’t as interesting, especially if it’s just 19 f vs 24 f while I’m sleeping. Like I said they’re very similar but unless Niceville had legitimate comfortable summer lows it wouldn’t make any difference

Steelernation what do the "low max" and "high max" numbers refer to? Mean monthly low max and high max. Way to show variability, format looked better than using mean monthly min as there weren't any negatives and I didn't want to clutter the weatherbox part.

Lake Providence still wins it for me. Idyllwild temps and precip pattern look good, but it is surprisingly way too snowy.
