Still hold polls. Don't want a repeat of last time If you know the poster's style and have examples feel free to include those in the poll threads Righto, because I've had my eyes on a recently-joined member on City Data Weather. I'll get to establishing the poll and examples by tomorrow (or near about).

I thought we settled on not needing polls; someone just has to message the mods whom they invited so we know whom to approve jgtheone

Can we make the forum secret again? The new member count is zero though we are public.

Can we make the forum secret again? The new member count is zero though we are public. Most certainly... NOT!The people have already decided—and they have decided that the forum be made public. Since the forum is public, any new posters we recruit will be much more likely to remain here, as the forum being hidden was the foremost reason for their departure; no-one could see the posts they were making, thus prompting them to leave (as posting was a pointless endeavour). A private forum is an oxymoron.

Yeah...no point in having it public. We had more new members join when private. This is perhaps the most idiotic, insipid post that I have ever seen from you. Congratulations! How much more of a terrible correlation can you conjure up? The only reason as to why there are no new members joining now, is due to the fact that we are not even trying to poach new members (and some on this forum are against the addition of new members).

It wasnt an attempt at correlating it, just an observation. And no new members have joined because we haven't invited anyone, obviously. No need to get all hot and bothered.

Can we make the forum secret again? The new member count is zero though we are public. Going public has done absolutely nothing to increase activity.
All it has done is expose our little community for anyone to see and potentially have us shut down.

Well, at least we didn't dip as low as last week.
I was worried. This week felt really dead.

People should be able to invite whoever they want and then those should be given a fair shot even if other people dislike them but I think since we're a forum of edgelords, it's perhaps for the best of having it private.

And if the forum was still private when the recent members joined? They wouldn't even have stayed. You see, forums can only be public—a private forum is an oxymoron, and is bound to falter.
