I thought this was an AA (Autists Anonymous) support group.

Just horrible.

Classifications are the lowest form of weather discussion though and often end up degrading into semantics arguments OK genius…can YOU think of a better weather/climate topic?? Mind you, local weather discussion can only take place, provided that actual weather is happening—which has been nigh-on absent during this shit house year.

Might I suggest a royal commission into last week's stats?
For I can already smell the books cooking…

I'm surprised at how high that stats are for last week (post count is almost on par with what we've seen during the first wave of COVID in April), considering how dead the shoutbox was! One thing that tipped me though was that the no. of online users + staff in the past 24 hours has been consistently above 40; in fact there were 46 users + staff online in the past 24 hours (or 47 if you include Nidaros who's hiding his online status) yesterday. From last night (I had a tab open from last night so I took the screenshot now though):

Honestly I'm shocked that the numbers are so high, this past week has felt much deader than normal. Glad that we have the numbers to prove us otherwise

I've noticed the increase in activity. The standard "social media check" of this forum has almost become too time consuming for me to bother with if I have lots of stuff to do, whereas it used to be it took a few seconds because at most only one or two threads I participate in would've been updated, if even that. Now there's always like 5-10 interesting threads with a whole page of discussion every time I log on.

Honestly I'm noticing that too. The social media check of the forum is no longer enough

what the hell is "social media check"? I'm assuming what they mean is just logging in, checking the threads that show up under "participated", and then signing back off, much like a brief 5-minute check of a social media site.
