Benfxmth as an aside, the "users online in the last 24 hours" count doesn't include users who are currently online - so really we're at 67 users online in the past 24 hours!

It doesn't count them when you aren't a moderator – 55 users, incl. staff have been online in the past 24 hours as I write this. What does it show for you?

Yeah, there's that one poster who's been lurking for months under invisible mode, I'm not gonna mention exactly who that is under a post. Seems like we peaked at 57 users + staff earlier today.

192 posts per day. Incredible stuff! 273 in a day is great as well, that's pretty much up there from post counts when the forum first started up!

192 PPD/weekly is the highest we had since the week of...June 18-24, 2018!
And that week in June was an outlier because of the World Cup, this is only the second time since April 2018 that we managed to get at least 192 PPD!
99878 page views also sets a new record, breaking the record we set last week by over 6000!

Whoever said that this forum was dying last summer is a troll.

Whoever said that this forum was dying last summer is a troll. Well…it certainly did seem like it was dying at the time. Sorry, but fluctuations between 100 posts/day and 80 (!) posts/day…isn't really what I'd call, "active" 👍🏻

Yeah it bottomed out at 45 daily in August 2019. Quite depressing

That's 195 posts/day. This was the most active week (in terms of posts/day) since the April 9th-15th 2018 period, and this is also the first time we ever reached 100K forum requests in a week! Good job everyone!

Good shit! We're nearly back at the 200+ post per day pace that we were on during late 2017 / first half of 2018. Lets keep this shit up! And that day with 283 posts is straight out of that time period too!

Just for fun, I'm going to post charts for the forum's activity levels since 2020, and since the first week of the forum's existence (starting from September 11th, 2017); knot is probably right in that invitees are more likely to get around to posting if the forum is public, as some potential posters are more likely to get around to posting after getting acquainted with the forum. Some remarks I've learned about: 1. The "global" average number of PPD since this forum was started is 124 posts/day. 2. Early on in the forum's existence, in late 2017 and early 2018, the stats were pumped up by Lommaren, and the C-D trolling threads. 3. The spike in forum activity levels in June 2018 was because of the World Cup. 4. A lot of the drop-off in activity in December 2018 were the result of the self-deletions following drama caused by Lommaren. 5. The spike in activity in July 2019 was the result of the mass invitation of Weatherzone members, the dream climate doping controversies, and presumably the historic heat waves in Europe. This was followed by the slowest period in the forum's history, spanning August to December of 2019. 6. Since @b87 & Strewthless rejoined the forum, only week 8 of 2020 (Feb 17th-23rd) averaged fewer than 70 PPD. 7. Following alex992 's departure in mid-May, in addition to countries loosening lockdowns, activity levels dropped off fairly rapidly, in the timespan of a couple of weeks; even so, the summer of 2020 was overall more active than 2019. 8. Activity levels had already begun increasing by fall of 2020; the forum was already fairly active even before I started making active efforts to recruit new, and former members in here, with the US elections and the palm trees fiasco.
