Bring back the biff ( AA, Joe and Tommy ) haha The last one sure has taken a toll on the forum. I still can't get over the loss of Tommy Boi lmao The trouble with a small membership forum ( and even smaller participation rate by aforementioned members ) is that it becomes an echo chamber. To thrive and survive you need a little bit of robust to and from discussion. it seems to me the participation rates were substantially higher when those whose names shall not be mentioned were active. Not condoning outright aggression and vitriol, but some banter, even slightly insulting banter is not such a bad thing ( sometimes) Some new blood, and even resurrection of old blood is required here. |

I'm more concerned by the loss of knowledgeable, good-natured posters like Urania, Nidaros, Boombo, etc. Than people who were banned for constant harassment of other members.

I know that you kinda have a crush on Tommy because he does have vast weather/PWS knowledge and you share a hatred of air conditioning, but you need to remember that Tommy really is an evil guy. Both in terms of ideology, but also just his general demeanor as a doomer and a grumpy fuck. |

Wittle Tommy boy was good with computers and therefore good at dredging up climate stats - but his knowledge of weather patterns outside of just data-bleating was severely limited, with more plot holes being exposed the longer you talked to him. Calling obviously non-arid PNW places arid, saying upward and downward temperature variability have to be the same, complaining about weather he claimed to like, including weather he didn't like in his dream climate because "it's realistic" according only to him, etc. He also obviously had mental problems, picked his targets of people he didn't like and proceeded to either attack them or talk shit about them mercilessly, and eventually turned into Fagler's little lapdog. The #1 thing he needed to do was touch grass and step outside his parents' basement more than once a month. Being an asshole to some members != evil He was evil indeed to me.
