It's worth noting that that was also only about six months ago - proving that this forum really is suffering from a slow, extended, and potentially terminal decline. Unless someone can convince more members outside here to join, then I'm afraid so. The decline from winter to spring/summer is hardly a new phenomenon though, if that's any solace. |

Problem is after a couple years and few new members all of the new thread ideas get used up and many threads people can’t post something new often. The shoutbox has felt decently active still. Also as Ben says doesn’t help that its NH summer where not much happens and winter is the boring season in Australia.
New members would be the best solution.

Problem is after a couple years and few new members all of the new thread ideas get used up and many threads people can’t post something new often. The shoutbox has felt decently active still. Also as Ben says doesn’t help that its NH summer where not much happens and winter is the boring season in Australia. New members would be the best solution. I like to go on about gaytime/lack of activity like some others in here do, but I agree. The only issue is: where to source such new members? Do we mass recruit (as in inviting a few tens of members and then a few end up joining) from certain region-based forums and hope a fraction of posters join? Shitty-Data WF nowadays is only either the retards, or certain posters who posted here in the past, but lost interest and migrated back to C-D. |

A balance of new members from differnt parts of the world is what's required... everyone complaines about 'gaytime'.... nah, its simply the timezone differences. More European, Asian and SH members would likely solve the timezone differences re activity...

Diversity is the key... by that I mean, Hemispherically, Continentally, Regionally, Racially, Socially, Politically....
The prime directive is to have a thick skin... ie be able to fend off fuckwittery from those who oppose ya position on all sorts of issues.
Its an obscure weather forum with less than 200 members.... who really gives a french fuck what someone else says or does ?
Just engage in the banter without being sooky.... lol.
And if ya have something to say, well fucken well say it without fear of being shouted down... its all part of the game.... haha

A lot of shoutbox activity these days is the usual suspects endlessly cold Boteving their climates and shitting on those who disagree with them for their weather preferences, or politicrap circlejerk stuff. I'm guilty of it myself from time to time as well, but that's a sure sign the forum membership base has become stagnant as of late and that a lot of ideas for constructive discussion have been used up, along with the knowledgeable characters becoming less interested in participating here. It's indeed been active in its active times of the day (but gaytime is in full tilt without fail from 11 PM to 7 AM ET). |

I agree with the suggestion to mass recruit members from Palmtalk, as a fellow palm tree enthusiast and ardent supporter of zone pushing.
Also last couple weeks were so extremely inactive partly because I was travelling.
