Inspired by Steelernation's recent thread - and another one from CD - what would be your ideal climate if restricted to 20 F (11.1 C) or less of variation between the coldest and warmest months' means? Obviously my dream climate would qualify, as the difference between its coldest and warmest months' means is only 9.4 C (16.9 F), though I'm interested to see how the continental climate fans among us decide to approach it: sacrifice winter cold or summer warmth? I seem to remember some pretty creative climates in the CD edition of this thread. |

This is one of my possible dream climates I've already made - which fits the criteria. It's a bit dull however, but I'd happily live here and it's way sunnier than in the UK anyway.  |

 Exactly 20 f range. Winter is very cloudy, creating low diurnals. It’s also quite variable all year with winter cold snaps and summer heat spikes. Snowfall isn’t all that unrealistic, Walsenburg gets more snow with similar average highs. |

Easy. I just warmed winters by 5 F and cooled summers by 5 F. It's still really good, definitely deserving of an A grade. Looks like somewhere in Northeast Mexico in the states of San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas, or Nuevo Leon.  |

My favourite climates are tropical and subtropical highland climates so they already fulfill that criterion.

Keep average highs similar to the original ideal climate. While making average lows year-round cool.  |

Basically a modified Cabramurra (i.e., with cooler summers and milder winters, with a more pronounced seasonal lag). If my dream climate must have such a minuscule seasonal range, then I'd prefer it on the cooler and wetter side with plentiful snow to boot.  |
