Which climate do you like more. Izmir, Turkey: Columbia, SC: Columbia for me, more chances for frost. Both places have brutal summers though.

Columbia is way betterโdrier winters, more storms, chance of snow, more variable. Izmir does have a bit better average temps though.

Izmir for being drier, sunnier and having less extreme cold snaps in winter.

Izmir in a massive landslide for being Mediterranean. Columbia is a good climate, but tough to top Izmir's glorious wet winter/dry summer.

Both have shithouse summers but Columbia is better for weather appreciators.

Columbia for a better precipitation pattern and surely more thunderstorms, as well as more interesting cold snaps in the winter. I do prefer Izmir's milder shoulder seasons though.

Columbia for a better precipitation pattern and surely more thunderstorms, as well as more interesting cold snaps in the winter. I do prefer Izmit's milder shoulder seasons though. It's Izmir, not Izmit, which happens to be another city in Turkey with colder temps and Cfa precipitation pattern: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%B0zmit#Climate

Yeah, my bad. I misread the name. That's ok, I kept confusing the 2 initially when the Grandeur in CD mentioned them.
