Cordova for me. Surprised NZ didn't make the cut - rodeo was the second biggest day of the year for me as a kid growing up, although rodeos seem to be an endangered species these days, largely due to the fun police To be fair though, the title is 'Steers and Queers', not 'Gumboot Wearing Kiwi Sheep Shaggers' .....   Lol! - plenty of opportunity for that carry on over there though. No shortage of cattle country over here, and mostly on rugged country and on bigger farms/stations - real horse folk, not feed lot cowboys. I grew up around horses, but wasn't much interested. Sisters barrel raced and still ride, while I only ever did a few steer rides. .... and a few sheep rides - purely in the rodeo sense. |
