Nineveh (Mosul) was the capital of Assyria, the ancient nation that I am descended from. The summers are detestable. But the rest of the year is okay. So a D-...Btw, I find the record lows to be dubious though? I mean, -17C? BQ: Would you say its climate is more semi-arid or Mediterranean?

E. Summer is horrible. But at least the winter manages a freeze, but still too warm. Send Yahya Sinwar to this climate.

E, shit climate. The potential for hard freezes and maybe even snow during winter saves it from an F.

BQ: Would you say its climate is more semi-arid or Mediterranean? It's a semi-arid climate with a summer dry season, winter wet season.

I'd give it a C+. Really good in all seasons but summer. Still, too dry for me. This is a semiarid climate very similar to the likes of LA in terms of total precipitation. The summers are also super hot though adding to its aridity, it's clearly semiarid and not Mediterranean.

C+. Way too much seasonal range - seems like a warmer version of Turpan. April, May and October are the only really good months. The rest are either too hot or too cool.

E. There are no redeeming features because the summer itself shows enough of the worst side. Answer to the BQ: It's a solid hot semi-arid climate. Borders neither Hot Arid nor Mediterranean.

A semi arid climate with Med pattern rainfall. Winter must be a blessed ( praise be to Allah ) relief after the summer heat and dryness. I dont mind Med type climates generally, but in this case the summer heat is a tad too extreme. Rating C

F+ A nigh-unliveable climate, but its sensible winters save it from F or F– It's definitely a scrubland (semi-arid) climate with ultra-arid summers

E, too dry and hot. More semi-arid due to the low annual rainfall.

Rather, praise be the sun god, Lord Aššur, the true god of these lands. (Not that either exist though ) Winters are indeed a blessing. The dry non-humid Nineveh nights have always been described as relieving and refreshing, at least in our own ancient traditional scribes and poetry.

C- summers are a bit too hot and winters are on the chilly with the potential for some real cold. On the plus side it's dry and sunny.

D+, points for being sunny and having several pleasant months; but has too much seasonal variation and aridity
