For NH members, when do you think your first snow will happen this season?
I think for here October 16 - 31 is a safe bet, even if it's a small amount that doesn't hang around long.

Probably October 16-31 although I’m hoping earlier.
Mean first snow is October 22nd so right in the middle of that range.

December 1 - 15 is a good bet here. Climatological mean first accumulation is December 11, with both the full 1939-2020 and 1991-2020 PoR.

Probably mid November for the first proper snowstorm. It can happen anytime after veterans day. I selected Nov 1-15, but it's more like Nov 10-20 in reality.

I’m going with oct 16-31.
Last year we had some on Oct 16, and year before that about a foot on October 10.

December 1-15 is my guess for Tucson. Reason for the pick is that I want it to snow in early December before I go home.

Average first 0.1" snowfall in St. Cloud is November 3rd, so I'll go with November 1 - 15. I'm hoping for earlier though. From 1991-2020, it happened 12 times in October, and even once in September, so it's very possible.

Mid/late December is my guess for falling snow. Earliest settling snow in recent years was on 9th Novmeber in 2016.

What do you mean by snow? Snow on the ground? Sleet doesn't count?

Early January, I'd guess.
This climate's on the borderline when it comes to snow. A below average winter will produce decent snowfall events. An average or above average winter won't produce anything to write home about.

I think the UK will get an early blast of winter this year, so picked first half of December.

What do you mean by snow? Snow on the ground? Sleet doesn't count? Sleet (aka rain/snow mix) doesn't count. Although non-accumulating snow counts in my opinion.

Mixed precipitation in mid-December and proper snow in early January.

Sleet (aka rain/snow mix) doesn't count. Although non-accumulating snow counts in my opinion.
In that case I would say early November for a few flurries.

Usually the first falling and accumulating snow is in November. I said the first half to be optimistic.

We should not count flurries in the air as snow in our subarctic climate. 🤣
