Wine wankerism is a growing phenomena in Australia. The proliferation of post war migrants from southern Europe started the trend, the rise and rise of 1980's Yuppies bred up a whole generation of man bun wearing hipsters and Millenials, persons who would rather patronise a 'wine bar' and sidewalk cafes as opposed to a 'blood house' bar pumping out Çold Chisel on the juke box. Well the culture of boozing is changing, and bugger me sideways, Australia is now well regarded for producing world class wines, a far cry from the days of Chateau Humpty Doo, a wine with the bocquet of an Aboriginies armpit, and best served out of a gumboot.
Hell, we even invented the cardboard wine cask c/w the Goon Bag. If it wasnt for the goon bag, thousands of inhabitants of the dry Todd River bed in Alice Springs would be forced to sleep without a pillow.
I've been known to partake of the evil grape, particulary when there is a woman involved.....and I've done some in depth studies of some wine varieties well renowned 'leg opener' qualities....mind you, needs at least 2 bottles for this to become likely.

I actually put this up as a salute/piss take for Australia's National Drink, The 'Sugarcane Champagne' of the North, Bundaberg Rum. Then I surprisingly found out there really are wine grapes grown in the southern parts of the region.
