This thread is used to discuss the place which gets the first and last fall freeze in your region (Metro Area).
All stats can be provided here. Average dates, least, and most variation between the first place and last place to see a fall freeze in your region or metro area.
Here are my averages for locations in my region:
Earliest: Brighton, MI with average freeze on Oct 4th
Latest: Detroit Waterfront on October 23rd
My location: October 17th
So, on average, there is a 19 day spread.

Using a 1991-2020 PoR for NWS New York forecast area, Port Jervis (well inland, 78 miles northwest of NYC as the crow flies) is the earliest on Oct 11 and LGA Airport is latest on Nov 26.
Average last freeze for some more area stations:
Riverhead - Nov 6
Islip - Oct 28
Farmingdale - Nov 8
Centerport - Nov 16
Montauk - Nov 13
White Plains - Oct 27
Bridgeport - Nov 4
JFK Airport - Nov 17
Newark - Nov 8
Central Park - Nov 20

Paris-Montsouris: 12/3
Extremes must range from early October in frost hollows like Fontainebleau (similar to Romorantin with its October 11 average first freeze) to mid December in central Paris.

Don't know where to find data for my region (Greater Toronto Area) but pretty sure Caledon (elevated area in the far Northwest of the GTA far from any lake) is the first, while Toronto Centre Island is the last (with Downtown Toronto second last).
