Slightly warmer than normal (+0.9 °F/0.5 °C) and the first month since April to be wetter than normal (135% of normal precipitation). Oddly, the minimum dew point and minimum relative humidity were both higher than September's due to the lack of anomalously cool and dry airmasses comparable to what we experienced late last month. Although most of the time the lowest dew points occur during late afternoon, the monthly min dew point actually occurred at night, forced by radiational cooling. Sunshine hours approximated using Angstrom formula, interpolated from four solar radiation measuring sites throughout Martin County. 1991-2020 normals for nearby COOP station for reference: True daily mean (average of 5-minute observations): 75.7 °F (24.3 °C) Max precip rate (10-min mean): 3.78"/hr (96.0 mm/hr) Max precip rate (1-min mean): 6.00"/hr (152.4 mm/hr) Max relative humidity: 99% Min relative humidity: 49% Max dew point: 81.3 °F (27.4 °C) Min dew point: 60.1 °F (15.6 °C) Max heat index: 106 °F (41 °C) or 92.1 °F (33.4 °C) with a 77 °F (25 °C) dew point Median time of daily max temp: 1:30 PM Median time of daily min temp: 6:19 AM Mean daily variability (average difference in mean temp between consecutive days): 1.7 °F (0.9 °C)

October was yet another above-average month this year, though not by that much. It started off very warm and then gradually cooled down, which is always appreciated compared to a sudden plummet into winter weather. The extreme dryness we've dealt with most of the year continued on, however we got just enough precipitation to officially make us wetter than 2001, which is still the driest year on record. Overall it was a mild, dry, and sunny month, and relatively unremarkable other than a lack of major cold snaps or sudden descent into cold weather. Average high: 12.7C (normal: 10.3C) Average low: -1.8C (normal: -1.4C) Mean temperature: 5.5C (normal: 4.4C) Warmest high: 25.8C (Oct 6th) Warmest low: 5.9C (Oct 5th) Lowest high: 4.0C (Oct 31st) Lowest low: -9.6C (Oct 31st) Precipitation total: 6.7mm (normal: 18.8mm) Precipitation days: 4 (normal: 7.8)

October here was warmer than average, with below average sunshine & well above average rainfall. Around half the months rainfall fell on two days, which had the highest daily rainfall recorded in the area for a few years. Pretty wet October for you. Decently wet most months this year as well. Yeah, we've exceeded our annual average precipitation with 2 months left.

Lowest max: 64F Highest min: 71F Days 90F or above: 4 Days with thunder: 3 Highest dewpoint: 78F Lowest dewpoint: 37F Average dewpoint: 61.5F

Average October conditions
Mean maximum: 31.0°C | Average high: 20.7°C | Daily mean: 15.0°C | Average low: 9.3°C | Mean minimum: 3.1°C
Average precipitation: 42.7mm | Average precipitation days (>0.2mm): 11.9 | Average relative humidity: 64% | Mean monthly sunshine hours: 226.3
An interesting month to say the least, definitely one of the most interesting we've had for a while. Temperatures and sunshine were below average, while rainfall was significantly above average. There were some good storms, including a notable one at the end of the month which produced spectacular thunder and lightning followed by gale force winds. The month lacked temperature variability, with the extreme coolest and warmest temperatures being well above and below normal respectively. Overall a great month apart from the reduced variability. Would be nice if we had months like this more often!

Absurdly warm month, especially lows. First frost and freeze were nearly a month late each. Lows were literally +8F, 28/31 days were above average

Speagles84I don't understand why you are comparing your PWS data to normals from a different station, especially when that station was 1.3 °F warmer than your PWS last month. Or am I misunderstanding what "PWS vs Moon Twp" is supposed to mean?

Almost forgot to post these. The precipitation map doesn't have a good enough resolution to pick up on my above normal rainfall apparently.
