Your highest/lowest barometric pressure?

This is a topic that isn't discussed very often on this forum, but recently I've been more interested in barometric pressure records.
I've gone through METAR data for Ciampino AP (going back to 1951) downloaded from ISD, and the highest instance(s) I was able to find was 30.71 inHg (1040 mb) on several occasions (most recently on New Year's Eve 2006: ogimet.com/cgi-bin/gsynres?lang=en&ind=16239&decoded=yes&ndays=2&ano=2006&mes=12&day=31&hora=22), whereas the lowest is 28.85 inHg (977 mb) on December 2nd, 1976 and February 26th, 1989 (a bit surprised it's not lower).
What about for your location/region?
