Yellowknife reluctantly; it'll kill me slower...

Yakutsk. Both have way too frigid winters that Iβd be trapped inside for anyway but Yakutsk at least has a solid summer and warmer springs.

Yellowknife. Better temperature profile and snowier. Yakutsk has too much seasonal lead and too dry of winters.

This reminds me of American politics, both choices suck!

Yellowknife. Winters are good there. Only thing is Yakutsk has the advantage in the number of snowy days. But I would prefer Yellowknife's less severe winters, temperature-wise. I would also prefer Yellowknife's cooler summers.

In any case, I have only the box to go by.

As nice as Yellowknife's climate is, I'll have to go with Yakutsk.
The numbers may make the winters there look dry, and they do have dry spells, but it's not like there's barely any snow.
Decent amount shown here

Yellowknife as I could go out many days during the winter as can handle up to negative single digits f for daytime highs (or likely negative upper teens f) which are normal cold wave days here while would be stuck indoors in yakutsk from nov-feb at the very least.

Yakutsk. Both have extremely cold winters, may as well pick the one with warmer summers.
