AJ1013 As disgusting as any month without any precipitation is, I would still take your April over my own - fuck winter.

April started cold, snowy and rainy, and ended cold and dry. For the 2nd time in history April had a colder record low than March. After the first 10 days it seemed that this could be the wettest April on record, but the later 20 days of the month saw only 0.6 mm combined.
Highest high: 16.8C (19th and 22nd)
Highest low: 5.3C (23rd)
Coldest high: 0.4C (5th)
Coldest low: -9.1C (1st)
Anomalies:
High: -0.6C Mean: -1.1C Low: -1.7C Precipitation: +24% (8 mm)

Gaypril 2022 Crummary for Cuntletown and Cuntbrook Back in 1965, Ringo Starr of the pop group The Beatles wailed into a microphone, "I wanna know what cold iiiiis...I want you to show meeeeeee..." The Rundown What a gay, cold, cloudy, drizzly, horse's ass mouth fuck shit ass cheese go ddamn wahat a fuckannnn cloudy ass tittyman of a month it was. It was the coldest Gaypril since 2021 (even beating out 2020 which was the first and only Gaypril in my 69 years on the face of this planet not to see a SINGLE 70 F (21 C) day) with way more "storm chances" than actual storms, more overcast and drizzle than Scotland in November, a high of 39 in the final week, and a bunch of other BS I'd rather not live through again. Gotta give credit where credit was due. On Tuesday the 12th, there was some surprisingly good thunder for a storm that dropped less than a tenth of an inch. I was working late and the power flickered, one of my co-workers pulled up the radar and there were beautiful shades of bright pink I don't think I've ever seen before. Of course they missed us, staying about 15 miles to the north, but it was still an interesting evening. And then we have the weekend of the 23rd and 24th - it's about time the nice weather falls on a weekend for a change. Bloody BRILLIANT; I thought it would be another Cuntbrook fizzerrr but the warm air moved in like they said it would and it was glorious. I hope everybody was at least able to get over their fears of "muh covid" enough to at the very least, pull out a chair, sit on their porch/patio/parking lot/nearest park bench, and enjoy the nice weather. Food tastes better and video games are more fun when enjoyed outside on a nice day like that. Because why not play video games outside like a chad like me? Jajajajaja bror. BUT you know what! I am just really in LOVEEEEEE with the Great Aussie Legend, beercules. I want to have his children and do all sorts of funky things with him, like watching Family Guy whilst being force fed cheese and laying on our backs in the Great Australian Outback looking at all the sexy and romantic twinkling stars in the beautiful Aussie nightsky whilst sucking his fat furry schlong. It's the stuff made of dreams I say! Also fuck tij because beercumles hates him too.

April was an absolute horse's ass of a month, just persistently cold aside from a handful of days and featured a major snowstorm 2/3rds of the way through the month. We didn't have any abnormally extreme cold snaps but it just refused to warm up most of the month (including nearly a consecutive week of sub-freezing highs in the middle of the month) and basically just felt like an endless continuation of late March. In addition to the weather itself sucking, Environment Canada shit the bed and had a week of missing precipitation data right when the snowstorm happened, which was our biggest precipitation event of the month (as well as several days of missing data). Thankfully we have another WMO-standard weather station in town, the one I get my sunshine hours from, so once they publish their monthly summary sometime this week I'll be able to get more accurate precipitation data. Speaking of sunshine hours, this felt like the gloomiest month in quite a long time and I wouldn't be surprised at all if it ended up below average. And the stats are in! At the Saskatchewan Research Council's weather station within the city we got 10.1mm of precipitation, still below normal but much higher than Environment Canada's reported 3mm (and about half of the precipitation recorded at the SRC station took place during the week where EC's precipitation data was missing, not surprisingly). And this was indeed a below average month for sunshine, although not as much as I was expecting - 214.5 hours versus an average of 222.0 - but still lower than March so the contrast was definitely noticeable. Updated weatherbox: It was a colder, snowier, and wetter than normal month. This was the fifth consecutive below normal month, and the fifth month this winter with over a foot of snow. Damn, your April was even worse than ours! This was also our 5th consecutive month below average, though May looks to be breaking that trend so far.

The very cold and rainy start (coldest day this year so far was April 1st!) skewed the summary a bit, the rest of the month was decent for our standards.

A much cooler and drier than usual April. I haven't been able to verify, but I believe this April set new records for both coolest high (25.1 C) and coolest low (18.0 C), or at least it came very close. Some unusually low dewpoints as well.

April 2022 Summary
It was a slightly below average month, both temperature and precipitation wise, but it did feature a decent bout of days in the 70s and 80s. These mostly occurred toward the middle of the month. In addition, thunder was recorded on 4 separate days, with April 9 featuring hail. This followed a milder and drier than normal, albeit stormy month of March, which also recorded 4 days with thunder.
