This is the opposite of the worst months thread.
Most months are recent, I don’t remember weather pre 2013 much if at all.
January 2018 in Rochester: Excellent month which had everything. Extreme cold early, a rapid warmup to 60 f, a 40 f day to day drop in highs and a big snowstorm. The two Fort Collins Januarys have been underwhelming so this month wins.
February 2022 in Fort Collins: Honorable mention to 2017/2018 in Rochester due to being great compared to average but this was an epic month I had to include. A big snowstorm, lots of variability, awesome cold front on the 21-22nd, and overall nice weather
March 2012 in Rochester: Don’t remember it but due to the sheer awesomeness compare to a normal Match it gets this spot. An A grade March in it’s own right but especially nice given how shitty March usually is.
*March 2022 in Fort Collins as this is was a pretty perfect March. Had some good snow and was variable with some very cold days early on and near record warmth late.
April 2021 in Fort Collins: Very good month—snowy and variable with good averages.
May 2021 in Fort Collins: Very good month as well, had a nice snowfall, some good thunderstorms and variable temps. Couldn’t ask for much better.
June 2020 in Rochester: Dry, warm and variable. Had some nice heat as well as a few cool days.
July: They all kind of blur and I’m usually away traveling then but I’ll go with 2016 in Rochester for the extreme drought that was interesting.
August 2016 in Rochester: Warmest august ever and got up to 96, also had some good storms and the extreme drought continued.
September 2020 in Fort Collins: Awesome month. Tied the record of 99 on the 6th, bright yellow skies the 7th, and it snowed on the 8th. Rest of the month doesn’t matter with that stretch of weather, it was still quite good though.
October 2020 in Fort Collins: Very warm and nice early and then the epic cold snap late with record cold, sub-0 temps and 14” of snow. Super interesting month and really nice too.
November 2015 in Rochester: Nice and mild which is welcome for November.
December 2015 in Rochester: Interesting record warm month, had some nice upper 60s days. Most importantly, it shortened the much too long Rochester winter which is very nice.
