These areas are cloaked by the Great Dividing Range, whereby receiving pretty insignificant rainfall both from westerly frontal systems and easterly flows (i.e. ECLs). It is worth noting that Delegate is not completely rain shadowed, but I thought it will be a good contender here for variety's sake.

Bathurst for the killer storms and surely being the sunniest due to northern latitude. Also voted Bathurst for the fact that it doesn't get any heat spikes unlike the others ( due to being the only one on the west side of the divide ) .. I hate sudden abrupt increases in temperature.

Technically, Cooma, Omeo and Bathurst are all on the westward watershed of The Great Divide ie water all flows inland from these locations. What fools us is that there is significant high country to their west, which gives a sorta leeward or rain shadow aspect climatically. Bathurst
It's the warmest of the bunch, coming closest to satisfying my summer requirements.

I'll go with Bathurst for being the warmest of the bunch.
The towns on the west slopes of the Great Dividing Range have the best climates in the region, due to their hot, dryish summers and mild, wet winters.

Like others in this climate battle, Bathurst easily wins the contest for me: higher daily highs and lows than its competitors means it's more comfortable. Summers are often too hot in the daytime, but the elevation should keep nights more comfortable than here in Sydney.

Nice thread idea! My vote goes to Bombala.
Also it's interesting that almost all rain shadowed places in southeastern Australia have a seemingly random rainfall peak in June. I think it's because of east coast lows, which occur most commonly in early winter.
