If you were on City Data for long enough, you might have come across the thread "What if North America was shifted 10º further south?" Today, we are going to come up with responses to the opposite of this question, and which climates you will consider an improvement, your ideal climate, and grumble about the climates that will become terrible.
Here are the latitudes of each national capital city in North America after this alteration from north to south: [Note the amount of capital cities in Central America and the Carribean in comparison to North America]. Ottawa, Canada: 55º25'29"N Washington, D.C., United States: 48º54'17"N
Nassau, The Bahamas: 35º04'41"N Havana, Cuba: 33º08'12"N
Mexico City, Mexico: 29º25'57"N Port-au-Prince, Haiti: 28º32'00"N Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: 28º29'00"N Kingston, Jamaica: 27º58'17"N
Basseterre, St. Kittts and Nevis: 27º17'41"N Belmopan, Belize: 27º15'05"N St John's, Antigua and Barbuda: 27º07'39"N Roseau, Dominica: 25º18'10"N
Guatemala City, Guatemala: 24º36'48"N Teguicgalpa, Honduras: 24º04'55"N Castries, St. Lucia: 23º59'45"N San Salvador, El Salvador: 23º41'56"N Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines: 23º09'28"N Bridgetown, Barbados: 23º05'51"N
Managua, Nicaragua: 22º08'11"N St. George's, Grenada: 22º03'23"N Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: 20º40'16"N
San José, Costa Rica: 19º55'57"N Panama City, Panama: 8º59'00"N

Vancouver would have much snowier winters which would be great BUT the rest of the year would be a cold and wet crapfest with no true dry/warm season. Would be likely similar to the climate of Yakutat, Alaska: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakutat,_Alaska#Climate

Charlottetown would be similar to Nain, Labrador. But since Nain is more exposed to the ocean, Ch'town at 56.4N would probably be a bit drier, due to geography. Not significantly drier though.
Also, good chance it would be somewhat colder in winter than Nain since there would be more landmass to the north.

Miami would be way better. Probably something like Moorhead City NC

If you shifted the North American landmass 10 degrees north then you would likely have a giant permanent 4 mile thick ice sheet like in Antarctica covering much of the continent . That much landmass pushed above the arctic circle would plunge the globe into its coldest ice age ever . You can’t really then just assume that current us climates would resemble something 10 degrees north of them now because in reality it would be vastly different .

In short, the Caribbean and far southern bits of the US would greatly improve in climate, while the Central/Northern US would have incredibly shithouse climates.

That would be gay, it would make our climate more like Boise, and would make Shitchester more similar to somewhere in subpolar Central Quebec 🤮
