Guess I never lived in Alaska then for 2.5 years.

And they pay for his house in New Yorkโฆunless youโre argument is you donโt live anywhere unless you yourself are paying for it, donโt see how thatโs relevant. I only mentioned payment to differentiate from visiting family, where youโd stay for free and is rather a visit and not where you live.

You live whereever your parents do if you are not self sufficient. And again, when in college, unless you live off campus in a place you're paying for, with a job in said place, you are not a resident of that state I had more of a right to call myself a Californian last year than Mets has a right to call himself a Georgian this fall, since I was working while in California, but still didn't. I stayed in my sleeper most of the time, while on weekends that I wasn't in Phoenix, I stayed in a hotel

As if this thread could get more dumb. Jesus Yes mets is obviously going to be a resident of Georgia No, he isn't. I guarantee you that his parents will be paying out of state tuition for him for the entirety of his schooling, and further, if he goes back to NY during the summer and during Xmas and Spring break (can't stay in the dorms during extended breaks), he's not really a Georgia resident. Bet he will also keep his NY drivers license too At the end of the day, 9 in ten people who attend college out of state and live on campus still consider thenselves residents of their state of origin. None of the Californians who go to ASU consider themselves Arizonans just because they're attending school here, and they go right back to California after graduating The point about out of state tuiton is very much moot, considering that I'm attending a private university (all people pay the same tuition regardless of state). Also, and I've said this in the shoutbox before, I have a Florida (and not NY) drivers license, as I actually resided in Florida from February-August of 2020, when I took my road test as well, so by your logic I guess I should be a Florida resident, which makes no sense considering I spend maybe 20 days per year there. Anyway your arguments on this thread have just been straight up pointless to say the least. Like, who cares if I'm actually a GA resident? I'll be voting, studying, and being there for 75% of the time.

You live where you spend most of your time, technicalities donโt matter. Canโt make it any clearer so Iโm done with this debate

Canโt make it any clearer so Iโm done with this debate If that's the case, you should argue against out of state tuition at state schools, because it wouldn't exist if your argument was correct (which it isn't, and I have detailed why)

Sad to see fireturd devolve into this type of trolling. I thought he was above this CD behaviour.

Lol, you only need to pay the state in which you get pulled over. The fine/points are the same no matter what state your license is from.

You missed my point. It's a fraudelent license in the courts eyes. You are supposed to update your license within 10 business days of moving in most states

I guess the "trolling" is you starting this silly ass semantics argument to begin with. I don't get why you care so much about this + what you gain from this. It's a stupid argument.

What do you mean trolling? How is it trolling to point out that he won't be a Georgia resident? Well heโll be living in Georgia for most of the next few years so whether or not he is a resident is irrelevant for this thread.

My dad and mom both still have Florida licenses as well. Same with alex992 . Uh, you might want to rephrase your anecdotal statement. I have literally gotten an updated license within 3-5 days every time I've moved. And it's even more important for me since I have a CDL

I'm predicting that Mets will start complaining in September when they get a rainy stretch. Otherwise it will be sometime the next summer.
