Two very common climates here as they've been done a lot back in the City Data days.

Melbourne for the much milder winters and warmer overall year round.

NYC for the consistently warm to hot summer weather, and for being much more interesting in winter. Melbourne is basically Paris in summer, with the odd hot day.

Being born and raised in Victoria, I have the inherent built-in natural aversion to Melbourne's climate....Victorians ( including Melbourne-ites ) generally dislike/despise the climate. But I couldn't do a New York winter, so reluctantly ( because there is no 'abstain' voting box ) I'm voting for Melbourne.

Melbourne, easily, for the mild winters and drier summers

Close, but a bit leaning towards Failbourne, for its record highs
