No, no, no, we're not talking about the 1990's TV show ( mind you a good excuse to go back and have a look, for research purposes only of course ) This a 'Battle of the Bays' climatically, featuring Jurien Bay in Western Australia ( 220klm north of Perth ) and Hervey Bay in Queensland ( 290klm north of Brisbane ) Both places are regarded as 'getaway' coastal tourist locations, Jurien Bay has that 'sleepy coastal town' so beloved by Aussie travellers, wheras Hervey Bay is a renowned retirement location due to its balmy equable climate. Hervey Bay is a 'jump off point' for visitors to the World heritage listed Fraser Island. JURIEN BAY Climate Jurien Bay experiences a warm Mediterranean climate (Köppen climate classification Csa). HERVEY BAY Climate Hervey Bay has a humid subtropical climate with an average high temperature of around 30 °C (86 °F) in summer and 22 °C (72 °F) in winter. The coast is predominantly affected by the south east trade winds throughout the summer with occasional strong northerly winds and storm swells. These winds keep the temperatures down in summer and up in winter, preventing temperature extremes. As a result, Hervey Bay rarely experiences temperatures over 32.3 °C (90.1 °F) in summer or under 4.6 °C (40.3 °F) in winter. Again, the choice is between hot dry summers/mild wet winters of the WestCoast and warm to hot wet summers/mild to warm drier winters of the East Coast.

Jurien Bay obviously, for being Mediterranean and having more seasonality. Should also be a great place to meet girls

Hervey Bay
Close battle, considering both are good climates. Hervey wins narrowly though, for having near-perfect average temperatures and a less-extreme dry season, even despite its abysmal mean maxima and record highs in the summer.

Both are quite nice, but I will go with Jurien Bay, as the summers in Hervey Bay are rather hot and muggy, which isn't great for personal comfort.

Man, one is too humid subtropical and the other is too Mediterranean.
I'd give the edge to Jurien Bay for the dry sunny summers. Won't be fan of its wet winters though.

Hervey for having higher precipitation. Not a bad climate in general. Very pleasant winters.
