A- for the WA one, A for the SA one which is an improvement due to the hotter summers. Both really good Mediterranean paradises

D-
lame crummers with extremely cold lows, and a dickhead amount of rain days
neither are stormy either, a classic pair of southern australian monkey sharts

Neither too hot or too cold...neither flooding rains or extreme drought. Both places have seen a snowfall or two in their climatic history, also a few low/mid 40c temps imported from the Outback. Summer convectional storms are rare, but winter cold frontal storms ( called 'coldies' ) are epic at these latitudes. Winter fronts really produce the goods here climaticaly. Neither places are 'boring' weatherwise. Extremely changeable all months of the year as one would expect with the proximity to the Southern Ocean and the inland deserts.

A. It seems like I have very similar climate preferences to desiccatedi85 Indeed. Mediterranean climates are superior
Specifically, I love Mediterranean climates with lots of winter/spring rain, cool winters, and hot summers, along the lines of this (Arta, Greece) is perfection.

That climate looks really good, I personally like summers to be slightly cooler than this one.

I like Med climates, but these Greek mainland Med climates are among the worst in the world. I'd be really depressed in these long, wet (and probably gloomy) winters. Yikes. I prefer milder Mediterranean climates with more dryness, like areas in SoCal.

Mild dryish Med climates (perhaps with semi-arid influence) are the way to go.

I don't think the Greek climate would be excessively cloudy though. It's precip days are pretty few compared to how much rainfall it gets.

I think Corfu's sun hours would be more representative. Not bad, but it's still cloudier than I thought it would be though.
