The two most populous cities in the grand old United States of America. Two world-famous and influential cities. Both these cities capture the imaginations of not only Americans, but also people around the world. Which one's climate do you like the best? Los Angeles: I'm pretty sure the warm, sunny climate was a major factor in Los Angeles's transformation from a backwater to a world-famous city. New York City:For me, Los Angeles wins in a landslide.

NYC doesn't seem that much more humid than LA during the summer months (Obvious Los Angeles vote ofc)

You don't think the gold rush, the discovery of oil, finishing of the Pacific Railroad, Hollywood, and the massive shipyards building ships in WWII, and being a major staging point for troops on route to the Pacific theatre weren't the major factors?

They definitely were, but so was the desirable climate. In fact the climate was instrumental to the growth of Hollywood.

LA for being warmer overall and having dry summers, though it's quite boring and is merely a semiarid climate.

Los Angeles by a trillion miles. One of the best climates versus a truly horrible wankfest.
