1.8F warmer than normal and 3.39" wetter than normal. I got quite a bit more rainfall than the airport - my total for August was 12.18"! The airport unfortunately missed out on a couple of heavy rain events. A pretty stormy month overall. Made up for the dryness earlier this summer. Lowest max: 86F Highest min: 77F Days with thunder: 21! Highest dewpoint: 78F Lowest dewpoint: 68F Average dewpoint: 73.5F West central LA was the driest part of the state. Around 20" of rain near Monroe in the northeast part of the LA!

August here was well above average, with a heatwave during the second week which gave six consecutive days with 30C+. The month was the 5th warmest August in the UK & summer as a whole was joint warmest on record for England. The first half of the month was dry & an official drought was declared in my area as well as other parts of England, the second half of the month did see some showers & a thunderstorm gave a decent downpour on the 25th. Overall rainfall was below average & the period Jan-Aug has been the driest so far since 1976 & the same period the warmest year so far on record. Sunshine was above average. Stats from my PWS in SE Hampshire Av.Max 26.3C (+4.5C)* Av.Min 14.9C (+1.2C)* Mean 20.6C (+2.8C)* Highest Max 33.9C (12th) Lowest Min 9.8C (20th) Lowest Max 20.6C (22nd) Highest Min 19.5C (13th) Rainfall 35.3mm (62%)* Days with Rain 7 Days with >1.0mm 4 Max Rain in Day 21.6mm (25th) Days with Thunder 1 Sunshine 239.2hrs (112%)* Max UV 7 Min UV 5 Highest Sea Temp 20.9C Lowest Sea Temp 19.9C Mean Sea Temp 20.4C *against averages for Thorney Island 1991-2020

Temperatures and precipitation, I hope that these data are more or less adequate. However, they are not official. My and eastern continental part of Estonia. Western Cfb part So, August was the warmest summer month, the last time it was in my part like that in 2017. The daily mean of August was the second warmest in the eastern part and the third warmest in the western part in the past hundred years.

I'm doing my hometown climate as for now. Exceptionally warm, dry and sunny summer in Frankfurt. Four months left and already 1827 sunshine hours so far. The forests around the city are about to die off completely.

A cold, wet and cloudy month. Laggy winter at its finest. Almost all of the rain fell before the 18th with the remaining 12 days actually being quite pleasant and sunny. The first week in particular was super wet.

ReykjavΓk, Iceland August 2022 - Helsinki, Finland August 2022 - Copenhagen, Denmark August 2022 I wonder if this information about record highs in Helsinki is correct and if it really could not record 30c in any summer month? In Tallinn, which is not far away, this was certainly not a problem. This is just a copy of the not the most reliable infoclimate, but I also checked the national weather service page.

That was the Helsinki Kaisaniemi station. Helsinki Kumpula hit 30C in June, and Helsinki Airport hit 30C in June and August.

That looks almost like it could be eastern Oregon or something. Lows are a bit too warm for that, but highs and precipitation look similar.
