Fairweatherfan's official Fair Weather Index™!!!
This index allows you to measure how much of a fair weather fan you are, or how fair a climate is.
Fair weather is arbitrarily defined by me as sunny, calm weather with daily means between 16-20 Celsius.
This index measures seven categories, and totals the points for a Fair Weather Assessment™.

Dream climate: 10.5 (my dream climate's summer mean is right on that 28 C line so I counted it as a half-point)
Actual climate: 6 (loses a lot of points due to the cold winters)

The maximum possible Fair Weather score would be from a mild subtropical/tropical highland desert climate Arequipa, Peru- 20 Coldest month- 13.3 C ( Weatherspark says 15 C ish) | 2 Hottest month- 16.4 C | 3 Annual precipitation- 96.5 mm | 3 Annual snow- zero | 3 Annual sunshine hours- 3333 per Wiki | 3 Annual precip days- 17.7 | 3 Annual thunderstorm days- unsure if more or less than 6, probably less? | 3? Nazca, Peru- probably 19? Coldest month- 17.1 C | 3 Hottest month- 25.2 C | 1

Here’s my dream climate, let’s see how it stacks up. It is very similar to yours fairweatherfan Coldest month mean of 46F = 1 point Warmest month mean of 78F = 1 point Annual rainfall of 39” = 1 point Annual snow of 2” = 2 points Annual sunhours of 2,800 = 2 points Annual precipitation days of 94 = 2 points Annual number of thunder days of 47 = 1 point This adds up to a grand total of 10 points, indicating that my dream climate is moderately fair, which makes sense as I prefer a balance of comfortable and interesting weather. As for my current climate of Atlanta, it’s quite similar, achieving a score of 8 points, scoring slightly lower due to being rainier.

Scoresby
Coldest month mean: 10.0c (1.5 points) Warmest month mean: 20.6c (2 points) Annual precipitation: 805.8mm (1 point) Annual snow: nil (3 points) Annual sunshine hours: ~2300 (1 point) Annual number of precipitation days: 163.8 (0.2mm threshold) or 107.0 (1mm threshold) (0 or 1 points) Number of thunderstorm days: ~15 (2 points)
Total: 10.5 or 11.5 depending on the precipitation threshold
We're in the middle of the fair weather scale, so a moderately comfortable climate.
Dream climate
Still figuring out the details of my dream climate, so will post one when I'm ready. It scores 10 points, which means it's marginally more interesting than my current climate, but still has its fair share of fair weather (no pun intended!).

My dream climate is made organically, starting last November. When I've finished year 2022 (the first complete year) I'll work out its score.
