AKA the thread of broken dreams. This forum is too positive lately, it's time to put each other down and crush our dreams. Starting with our dream climates. Basically the idea is to rate and critique our dream climates. Let's see how this goes...

B-, wrong precipitation pattern and record lows are too low

B for boring and bland and similar to innumerable equally bland and boring real climates in south eastern AU, specifically the New England region at slight altitude. Certainly livable and likely a rich farming and pastoral district.

This gets a D, pretty bad but could be a lot worse.

B+, maybe even A- territory. Certainly comfortable, with an excellent precipitation pattern.

C+, not bad but its summers ought to be warmer and less arid. fairweatherfan In the spirit of your OP, I'd imagine you'd find my dream climate a bit too hot for you in the summer:

fairweatherfan - this climate gets a C-. Poor rainfall distribution for me (prefer evenly distributed), and summers are a bit too warm. Winters are OK but could be a couple of degrees warmer. Cheeseman - this climate gets an F+. Too warm or hot all year round, and too sunny. Rain distribution is OK.

Well he was probably a bit deluded thinking he'd like hot climates when he lived in a subarctic summerless hole called Buxton lmao.

Lots of sunshine, yet has epic storms. It probably not that humid either. Those record highs look ridiculous though.

fairweatherfan: C+. Decent climate, I would prefer the winters to be drier and colder. Summers are a little too dry and I'm not a fan of brown gardens. Cheesehead: F+. Unlivable without AC. At least for me. My dream climate is a continental one. Summers are warm and dry, with high diurnal range. Storms are extremely rare regardless of season. Record highs are below body temperature because since I was born without sweat glands, there's no way for me to cool down if the air is hotter than my body. Autumns are mild and slightly rainy with high diurnal range. Winters are cold and dry. Snow is not too common so wasting an entire day shoveling snow isnt a problem. The little snow that falls during winter remains on the floor without melting until Early September. Springs are rainy and snow is common in early spring, but it quickly melts.

Cheesehead: F+, the + is for a few relative pleasant months.
Massiveshibe: D-. Nice to see your dream climate! Summer is pleasant but the rest of the year is too cold. Way too little snow and storms so id be quite bored.

Lots of sunshine, yet has epic storms. It probably not that humid either. Those record highs look ridiculous though. Thank you! I'll take a C. Also cool that just from the chart, you figured out a couple of the major themes of my dream climate (not too humid; epic storms) even without knowing me that well. Yes, the record highs in my dream climate are ridiculous! Thankfully the extreme heat comes in isolated one-day spikes (most summer days' highs are in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with the occasional fluke 105+ day) and it's always a dry heat piped in from the nearby desert. massiveshibe No offense, but that's a D-. Slightly worse version of my actual climate. Steelernation I figured I'd get about an F+ from you. IIRC I give your dream climate a D+ myself - with some bonus points scored for the interest value of it.

Rated B-. Only real bad thing here is precipitation patterns, as cold rain practically sucks, making winter gardening harder to do as well as the clouds during said winter. Record low is very nice though, not totally evil

FairWXfan: Low-end B, bordering on C. Too cool summers and too much cold rain in winter Cheeseman: A; nicely hot summers and plenty of T-storms. Could be a bit cooler in winter though. Massiveshibe: C-; too cold winters with lackluster crummers. Now rate & critique mine:

Benfxmth Very nice overall; a solid B. It'd get higher marks if it were a bit wetter and if the summer record lows were a bit higher. Also, April's record high looks a little goofy being lower than March's.

A short POR like that is bound to lead to some goofy kinks in the stats.
