We've had Maryborough, now we have Peterborough! Peterborough, UK Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Peterborough, SA, Australia (using data from Yongala) Peterborough, VIC, Australia (using data from Warrnambool) On a side note, Peterborough Vic is home to the state's most famous natural attraction, the 12 Apostles.

I don't mind Peterborough, South Australia. Its a lovely town full of old ( by AU standards ) historical buildings and is a good example of an AU version of a 4 season climate. Yongala holds the SA record for the coldest min temp recorded in South Australia. The high country around there usually gets a few snow flurries every winter and a decent settling snowfall every 4 or 5 years or so.

Which sucks the least? Ontario gets my vote. The other three all have aspects I like; but also some pretty severe drawbacks such as: extreme summer heat for the AU locations and the UK one is just...boring. The UK one is probably the least offensive but also somehow the worst climate of this bunch.

Two bad NH climates and two mediocre SH ones. I'll go with SA. It's drier than VIC and probably not as exposed to ice cold winds off the frigid Southern Ocean.

Ontario - winter's a bit colder than ideal (prefer UK) but giving it the edge for the precipitation. Summers in both places look very nice.

The South Australian one for being the warmest and having dry summers.
