Bankstown in western Sydney has a lot of Lebanese inhabitants. Do you prefer their native Beirut or their Aussie settlement? To note, Sydney's sunshine hours are around 2600.

Actually not a bad comparison climate battle....I have a soft spot for Med climates....I like seasonal rainfall change patterns. Beruit, but a close run thing....

I'm going to break character and vote for the non-Mediterranean climate here. Beirut's humid and rainless summers just seem pointlessly uncomfortable.

Bankstown
Sorry Mets, I'll take the one that's both wetter and less humid in summer. Both are good climates though.

BankstownSorry Mets, I'll take the one that's both wetter and less humid in summer. Both are good climates though. Good observation. It's funny how Beirut, with its arid summers and Med climate, is pretty muggy. Whereas Bankstown, with its wet summers and Cfa climate, has relatively lower humidity levels.

Beiruit, no explanation needed. Would you sacrifice the thunderstorms that we get here for Beirut's consistent hot dry summers? I doubt Beirut gets that much t-storms...
