I discovered this interesting climate in Ecuador. The first few months of the year are typical for an equatorial location, but then it transitions into Lima with the aridity and lack of sun. Pretty surprised that the Humboldt current extends that far north!

F- Interesting how the wettest months are the ones that get the most sunshine. That has to be one of the most cursed climates Iโve ever seen. B Nice equable climate....bet it scores well re rainfall in an El Nino year..... Who tf would give a B to a hot and humid semi desert with 1300 hours of sunshine?

C+
Temps are lovely; precip is way too scant. And what this climate does infinitely better than Lima, is actually stay fairly warm year-round as a tropical climate should.

Better than Lima for sure, but 1300 hrs is so low that I can't rate it higher than a D. June through December looks depressing as hell. So gloomy yet completely arid. Look how different the climate is once you get a little bit inland: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quevedo,_Ecuador

To tell the truth, I generally dont bother looking at sunshine hours....they're generally A/- made up B/- inaccurate C/- wrong D/- all of the choices.... Mind you in this case for that part of coastal Peru and Ecuador, they're probably right.... Nice and warm, more rain would be bonus

C, boring but extremely comfortable. Quite good for somewhere tropical, but it's too dry even for me.

Just as bad as Lima.
At least Manta gets some rain though.

At least it's livable. But the disturbing lack of sun will be pretty depressing.

A. Love the temps and dryness. It would be an A+ with decent sunshine totals.

If a climate is cloudy, it has to be rainy. I rate it as E+.

Look how different the climate is once you get a little bit inland: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quevedo,_Ecuador Impressive how supposedly Quevedo gets 97 inches of rain per year but over 3100 hours of sunshine. Seems like the best spot for me would be somewhere between the two.

But I suspect you wouldn't need to go far inland to see a dramatic change in the climate.
