Looking back on the results of a previous thread, sunshine hours are very important for some people and unimportant for others. Beyond being a personal preference, sunshine can have a profound effect on mood for some people. For me, there's no clear link between sunshine and mood. I'm not saying sunshine has no impact on my mood, just that there's no clear pattern.

Cold and sunny weather makes me happy
Cool and cloudy weather makes me a little sad, but no big difference.
Hot and sunny makes me uncomfortable, but I’m usually happier when it’s hot and sunny than when it’s cool and cloudy.
Hot and cloudy weather can go fuck itself. It makes me both uncomfortable and sad.

It improves my mood when there is a reasonable temperature (10-20°C). I don't see much benefit in it above that though.

It depends on season. In summer, sunshine boosts my mood, while in winter, I prefer cloudiness. But again, sunshine is a minor factor for me compared to temps and rainfall.

No discernible effect on my mood.
I do tend to feel happy when I get a sunny day after many days of cloudy weather in a row, and vice versa, but that’s it really.

I think I’d prefer cloudy weather if I worked outdoors Sounds like Lima is your dream climate. It’s not, I prefer much sunnier than that. Just that cloudy weather is much better for working outdoors.

I like a balance of both, so it's silly to think that one would prefer one or the other, but I do like the sun when it hits my vegetable beds! However, everyday being sunny would depress me a bit

Definitely sunny is better, I have S.A.D.D. One of the many reasons I left NY. Used to have to take prescription anti-depressants there from October to April, quit them cold turkey when I moved to warm sunny Phoenix with no ill effects

Too black and white of a question - it depends on temperature for me.
I can tolerate clouds when it's cool/cold, but warm and cloudy is yuck AF.
Cool/cold and sunny is my favourite (with a large diurnal range of course).

Much better mood when it's sunny, but not when it's darn hot and humid (30C)!
Cloudy and damp I usually can be moody and even melancholic.
