Here, we have four East Asian cities, representing each of the cardinal directions (north, east, south, west). Each of these cities has a direction in its name. - Beijing (北京) - Northern Capital
- Tokyo (東京) - Eastern Capital
- Nanjing (南京) - Southern Capital
- Xi'an (西安) - Western Peace

They're all shitty, but Tokyo is easily the least shitty. Good temps and it's the least monsoonal of the bunch, though that's not saying much.

I actually like Xi'an's climate the best. It's somewhat dry and has an even precipitation pattern except for the dry winters, which are still wet enough for some snow. It's very cloudy, but Tokyo and Nanjing are also cloudy.

Those summers are some probably the best in the region, relatively “dry” by East Asian standards. Still the winters are too cold and dry.

Nanjing
It was close between that and Tokyo, but the warmer June made Nanjing win out.

Xian has horrible cloudy winters and Nanjing isn't much better, so it's between Tokyo and Beijing. Beijing is a lot sunnier, but winters are a lot colder (but not very snowy). I'll go with Tokyo.

Xi'an would have an okay climate if it weren't so cloudy. Can't have good climates in China, I guess

Actually, changed my vote to Tokyo. Didn't realize how cloudy Xi'an's winters are.
And Tokyo's are very sunny and pleasant. Plus Tokyo only has three months with record highs above 100F. Xi'an has...five.

And places like Xi'an that don't have washout crummers have fuck all winter rain, so they're still shit.

Beijing for being drier and having winters. The other cities have pathetic gay winters.

Tokyo. Xian isn't bad for Chinese standards, but I don't see the point of gloomy winters if it's not gonna rain.

Begrudging Beijing for the higher sunshine hours. A sorry lot, really. East Asia has the world's abominable climates. Lmao
