Begrudging Beijing for the higher sunshine hours. A sorry lot, really. East Asia has the world's abominable climates. Lmao They’re not that bad. East Asia has much better climates than West Europe and the tropics. Where do you draw the line with west Europe? France and northern Spain are not terrible and they're pretty much in western Europe. And with the tropics, the climate there is totally understandable - hot and humid all year round - That's a "duh" thing. Totally expected. What makes east Asia detestable is how cold it is in the winter for its latitude and how muggy it is in the summer when other places in its latitude fair pretty well. Not to mention they're abnormally low sunshine hours.

This makes me wonder about the link between genetics and climate preferences, since mine don't really correlate. My climate preferences are exactly the opposite of my ancestry lol. Maybe not totally opposite, considering I voted for Xi’an in this climate battle

This was a tough one. Beijing has the coldest winters but they're too dry to have much snow. Xian should have the lowest dew points and most comfortable summer, but it's annoyingly cloudy there for how dry it is. So I choose Toyko. It doesn't get much snow but it is only too hot for about 2 months, doesn't have dry winters, and has decent sunshine totals.

It's close between Tokyo and Nanjing, but I'll give a little bit of an edge to the latter for less spring seasonal lag

They’re all far from ideal but Tokyo is the most moderated.
