Sheffield 2022 November Summary
November was much wetter than average, and a little milder than average. The first half was generally milder and the drier half of the month. The second half was very unsettled, and cooler. It was my first November here to have no air frosts recorded in the month at all. There were no particularly interesting weather events during the month.

Essendon November 2022 Summary:Average max: 20.3°C (-2.8°C) Average mean: 15.3°C (-2.0°C) Average min: 10.3°C (-1.2°C) Max high: 28.5°C (9th) Max low: 17.8°C (10th) Min high: 13.0°C (15th) Min low: 5.0°C (16th) Precipitation: 81.0mm (129.2% of avg. precip) Precip days: 18 Precip days (>1mm): 12 Sun hours: 195.2 hrs (87.1% of avg sun hours) Highest wind gust: 98km/h from the WSW (21st) Another cloudy and wet month which was very below average. A dime a dozen lately. This was the first November since 2001 to not have a high exceeding 30C, and it was the coldest average for November highs since 1993 (using Melbourne Airport data, Essendon has missing temperature data between 1972 and 2002.)

A pretty topsy turvy month, with the first half being record warm and the last half being pretty chilly. Not many precip days so that was nice. Almost no snow, which was not nice. Even got a higher max temp than October.  |

Colder and snowier than normal. Further east parts of the city got over 40cm snow this month, from lake effect snow bands. Difference can be seen between precipitation figures at Airport and Downtown.   |

Scoresby November 2022 Summary
Avg high: 20.1C (-2.4C) Avg mean: 15.1C (-1.5C) Avg low: 10.1C (-0.6C) Precipitation: 161.2mm (196.1% of mean) Prec. days: 23 (+10) Another cool, cloudy and very wet month. It did not reach 30C, and there were several strong cold fronts during the month bringing winter-like temps. In terms of rainfall, it wasn't record wet like October, but still had almost double the average. We also had an unusually high number of rain days, at 23 (!)

Awful month in Auckland. Far too wet and cloudy for November, felt like constant downpours and non-event thunderstorms. Otherwise temperatures were slightly above average.  |

Record breaking warmth in the beginning of the month including some very warm nights in the 60s and even around 70 F/21 C. There was a cold snap mid-month and the end of the month was characterized by some higher diurnals with mild days and cold nights. We did receive a light snowfall on the 15th, enough to lightly coat the trees, grass, decks and rooftops. Did not last very long though. Month as a whole ended up 4 F above average.   |
