Lowest max: 48F Highest min: 71F Days with thunder: 3 Highest dewpoint: 73F Lowest dewpoint: 22F Average dewpoint: 48.7F Ended up 1.8F warmer than normal and 1.48" wetter than normal. Record-breaking warmth the first part of the month was offset by cold spell the middle of the month, but then warmed up towards the end of the month. Storm systems on November 4 and 29 brought severe threats (got heavy rainfall on the night of the 4th but not much materialized severe-wise locally with either event).

November here was warmer than average with a rediculous amount of rainfall, which the bulk of fell during the first half of the month. There were some real torrential downpours that caused local flooding, but at least people can water their gardens again now as the hosepipe bans have finally been lifted. Surprisingly sunshine ended up a little above average, thanks to some sunny days in the second half of the month. Stats from my PWS Av. Max 12.7C (+1.0C*) Av. flamingGalah that's an epic penultimate month of a great year by UK standards. Doesn't get much more Mediterranean than that in the UK.

November 2022 - month of the extremes. Very warm in the beginning, very cold in the middle, and warm by the end. Above average temperatures overall, and above normal snowfall and precipitation in general.

Okay, I'm ridiculously late to the party once again, but here we go... November was a drastic departure from the mildness of the fall and ended up being several degrees below average. We had a pretty nasty cold snap early on in the month and started off with some icy crappy conditions, but thankfully things improved later on. It was also a massive departure from the near endless sunshine that it felt like we were experiencing for much of the year, as we had only 30.3% of possible sunshine in the month, versus 69.6% in October. Average high: -4.3C (normal: -1.2C) Average low: -13.2C (normal: -10.7C) Mean temperature: -8.8C (normal: -6.0C) Warmest high: 6.4C (Nov 1st) Warmest low: -1.4C (Nov 1st) Coldest high: -16.2C (Nov 9th) Coldest low: -28.9C (Nov 10th) Precipitation total: 8.8mm (normal: 13.0mm) Precipitation days: 11 (normal: 8.0)

Realized I forgot to post this. November 2022 Summary for Madison, WIThe month was 3 F warmer than average, though it didn't always feel like it; and substantially wetter than average, though the bulk of the precipitation was also concentrated on just a few days early in the month. It started off with a continuation of the anomalously mild and dry pattern from the very end of October, with the first three days all having highs in the lower 70s F (21-22 C) - before a storm system associated with a warm front and then a cold front came through on the 4th and 5th. Included within it was a thunderstorm on the afternoon of the 4th that I watched build out the window at my desk; it even produced some hail! That's twice since I moved down here in August, after not having seen hail in Appleton for ages. Following that system, there was a brief cool-down early in the second week - but the warmth came right back, with one last day in the 70s (!) on the 10th, a new date record high. Rain came through in the evening, lowering the temp to 46 by midnight, ruining that day's epic warm low but still serving as the high for the following day, most of which was in the 30s. The third week was cold and definitely felt wintry, with a 2.8" snowfall (the first 1"+ snowfall of the season, on almost exactly the average date) on the 15th that was followed by an even colder arctic blast, one that gave us a low of 10 F (-12 C) on the 20th. That's the coldest November temp since 2019 but is in fact equal to the mean minimum for the month. Things warmed up again going into the fourth week, with the Thanksgiving holiday producing some nice sunny days with highs in the 50s again - but no precipitation until a cold front came through on the 29th and made it, well, cold again. The Year So FarObviously, parts of that November epicly sucked - but all in all, it was a decent month, and I've been getting pretty lucky by Wisconsin standards since I moved to Madison. December is starting off on a mild and cloudy note; let's hope the mild and wet pattern of the first full week continues.

Data from this South Jakarta PWS (ISOUTH1189), 14 km (9 miles) to the north of my place. Correction: This table below should be "record high F" and "record low F"Note: Weather box data is only since August since that's the PWS first complete month. Also the data from October 5 is missing. Data for Bogor PWS November 2022 Source: IBOGOR14 PWS on WU Imperial Metric Wiki box

November was the first month that was both cooler and wetter than normal in the Oklahoma City area since June 2021. And it was only wetter than normal by 0.03" (0.8 mm), tho it was cooler than normal by a solid 2.7°F (1.5°C). OKC had some accumulating snow on November 11, but Norman just had flurries and sleet that didn't really stick, and where I went camping that night we had graupel and flurries. Still, it was nice to see an early cold spell like that.
