There are many places around the world called Santiago, especially in Spanish speaking countries. In English, it would be translated to as 'Saint James'. Here's a selection of the most populated cities with this name. I left out Santiago de Cuba, since the data isn't extensive and its climate is pretty similar to Santiago de los Caballeros anyway. I've called it my favorite climate in North America in a past thread. It's easy to see why: tropical paradise. The Argentinian one is good too though.

Santiago de Chile. It's too dry, but it's got the best temps of this bunch, and at least its precip pattern is trying to be imitate a Mediterranean paradise. I was there during a heatwave and it was perfect dry heat as you'd expect.
Santiago Canyon, in SoCal, has the best climate of all the Santiagos, but there's only PRISM data, not any reliable NWS data.

If I can afford it, I hope to live in Santiago Canyon. |

A bit warmer than I would've expected at 3000 ft above sea level in SoCal (only 6-7 F cooler than Irvine). Temperature and precipitation regime actually looks a lot like the Bay Area. |
