Ville is a French word meaning "town", but in the Middle Ages, it originally meant "farm". After the American Revolution, it became a popular suffix for town names, especially in the South. Some of the American South's famous cities end in -ville. Which "ville" has the best climate? Louisville, Kentucky Nashville, Tennessee Knoxville, Tennessee Fayetteville, North Carolina Jacksonville, Florida

Nashville for being decently warm while also having the greatest potential for thunderstorms and summer droughts in this selection.

All are acceptable to good climates, but Jacksonville gets my vote for being the warmest of the bunch.

Fun fact: Louisville is considered oceanic under the Trewartha Classification.

Nashville climate data is a load of shit anyways . It’s about as cool as knoxville That wiki box has been bastardized multiple times over the years Well it is the actual data , problem is the data was warmed by like 2.5 degrees from 81-10. Makes zero sense , nearby towns did not see that at all.

Louisville. Fun fact: Louisville is considered oceanic under the Trewartha Classification. Indeed, hence why Trewartha is a bullshit system. Even parts of Kansas and Oklahoma are considered oceanic under Trewartha.

UHI may be to blame in Nashville, the city and metro are growing quickly, increasing and intensifying the area's UHI effect. No it’s quite literally made up data because NWS does it’s bullshit smoothing of normals even for places with 0 missing data. The average low wasn’t changed for some reason but the average high is actually 70.7 f, so about 1 f cooler than the made up normals.

Yeah that's pretty stupid that NWS adjusts the normals, they should just leave the averages alone.
