One cool thing about the World Weather Forum is that its name is accurate. We might be lacking members from large parts of the world, but we do have members from several different continents. It's quite amazing that we are able to even know, rate, and compare different climates around the world. Only in very recent times are we able to do such things. Around the World in Eight Days is a French novel by Jules Verne, published in 1872. The meticulous gentleman Phileas Fogg makes a bet that he can go around the world in eighty days, and brings his valet Passepartout with him. On the way, they pass by many different places with different climates, though they did not stay around long enough to experience any of them. Which climate do you like the best? This is a long climate battle, because it literally spans the entire globe. Travel route: London Paris Turin Brindisi Suez Bombay (Mumbai) Allahabad Calcutta (Kolkata) Singapore Hong Kong Shanghai Yokohama San Francisco Omaha Chicago New York City Queenstown (Cobh) Liverpool

Good thread idea!
1. NYC 2. Turin 3. Omaha
Mumbai is interesting as it gets more precipitation inches than precipitation days, almost never see that. Averaging >1โ/rain day must be one of the highest in the world.

I think I'll go with Yokohama on this one. Nice humid summers, mild winters, and not too cloudy.

Brindisi is the best of the lot there, rather comfortably.

Singapore tropics...rain, warmth, no need for warm clothing. Paradise.... Singapore is literally heaven, I wish I could live there and suffer from heat strokes every single day, get bitten by huge ass spiders all the time, and then die from the yellow fever at age 30.

SingaporeOf the tropical ones, it has the best precipitation pattern. Singapore tropics...rain, warmth, no need for warm clothing. Paradise.... Singapore is literally heaven, I wish I could live there and suffer from heat strokes every single day, get bitten by huge ass spiders all the time, and then die from the yellow fever at age 30. Pretty sure the average life expectancy in Singapore is like 85...uh duuuuh...

I don't particularly like any of these climates but I'll go with Chicago. Same. 1) Chicago 2) Turin 3) Paris Maybe Omaha or NYC instead of those two. The best places they went through, climate wise, would be somewhere in the mountains in the western US or maybe in Italy. Allhalabad is an interesting one. Too warm for me but it has big seasonal differences for a "hot" climate, with the hot build-up season followed by a wet humid season. Kolkata is a more moderated version of it.

Brindisi easily, as itโs the only hot-summer Mediterranean one of the bunch. Amazing climate of course.
Nice thread btw!

Not an option but I admire the creativity as the route does pass thru that area on the map.
