Inspired by our local ABC radio mornings jock phoning up and interviewing the Mayor of Darwin, Minnesota this morning our time. One can barely think of 2 more different climates, Darwin, NT and Darwin, MN, especially in January ! Charles Darwin, Naturalist: 1809-1882 www.britannica.com/biography/Charles-Darwinntindependent.com.au/13-places-named-darwin/DARWIN ISLAND, GALAPAGOS ISLANDS DARWIN, NT DARWIN, FALKLAND ISLANDS MOUNT DARWIN, CA Natuarally, the Climate of Mount Darwin is way more severe than Mammoth Lakes due to the altitude difference. Mt Pleasant, beautiful temps all year round.
The others are either sweaty torrid summer shitholes for heatfreaks or get derelict bone chilling winters.

I pick Galapagos, very dry for a tropical climate but those temps are as comfortable as it gets. NT and Zimbabwe are really good, too.
