We had a decent rain/wind event overnight that's just coming to an end now, round about 30 mm of rain and gusts of around 75 km/h. The temperature has done nothing all day, so this might be our first day of the season with a high below 10C.

Foehn wind, mostly sunny, 15.8Β°C, RH 20%. Higher on the mountain it is probably raining/snowing, because the wind gusts are intermittently throwing some rain drops on us.

12z GFS went apeshit for the Miami area calling for mid 50's (possible/likely) on October 26th and upper 40's (extremely unlikely and would be recordbreaking) on Halloween.

There does seem to be quite a major cold snap next weekend predicted, at least for the Upper South. Highs in the upper 40s/low 50s being predicted as far south as Nashville, and mountain snow as far south as North GA.
