Calama gets warm weather, cold weather, and sunshine. It's missing rain. Torshavn is chilly, wet, and cloudy, not very pleasant.

Subarctic hell vs. mild desert heaven, Calama is a very easy choice.
Other than the cold nights, complete lack of rain and storms and paltry record highs, Calama is actually a really nice climate. Crisp nights and warm sunny afternoons all year round ๐

Calama is much more pleasant despite the aridity

Calama
At least most days are mild there, with average highs in the 70s most of the year. The huge diurnal ranges (Calama's winter average lows are lower than Torshavn's!), aridity, and lack of heat still make it ass though.

Calama by a million lightyears! Torshavn is a climate disaster.

Calama for having pleasantly warm, sunny days rather than the raw cold, wind and gloom of Torshavn
