Three places in the world named Subiaco, the original Italian one was/is a religious site. The one in Arkansas is named after Subiaco Abbey, which is located there. The West Aussie Subiaco is a suburb of Perth, named by a group of Benedictine monks who settled there in 1851. They called their monastery New Subiaco after the birthplace of the Benedictine Order โ Subiaco, Italy. In 1881, the name Subiaco was adopted for a railway station near the monastery, and later for the cluster of houses and businesses that became the present Subiaco. SUBIACO, ITALY. Climate data from the nearby town of Tivioli SUBIACO, ARKANSAS. Climate data from nearby Ozark SUBIACO, WESTERN AUSTRALIA. Climate data from Perth City So there we have it....European med, heartland hillbilly USA with hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters, and AU version of med..... Which one do you prefer ?

Subiaco, WA (but AR has better summers, so it's close)

Both Italy and Arkansas aren't bad. I prefer the Italian one's milder seasons, but I'm voting for Arkansas for the extra rain in summer.

The Italian one. Is the 120F reading in Arkansas legit?

120ยฐF sounds like a bit of a stretch, but this occurred with one of the Dust Bowl heatwaves, on August 10, 1936. No doubt it was extremely hot for its location, with quite a few other stations nearby reaching 115-118ยฐF:

Ironically, Perth's climate is more Mediterranean than Subiaco Italy's. Voted for Italy, but could have gone with Perth also.
