I made a weatherbox with the hottest months recorded in New York City and another with the coldest months. It resulted in a Csa and a Dfb climate. I couldn't find data for sunshine hours but I'm sure the hottest one has much more sunshine hours than the coldest one. imgur.com/a/Bh5ZTmY |

Being a comfort wanker I'd have its coolest months from May-October and its mildest from November - April. But out of this choice I'll go with the coldest. You can easily warm up when it's cold, but I find it hard to cool down when it's hot.

Coldest, no question. Didn't know NYC could get average highs below freezing in winter. Summer is washed out but I'll take that over the hottest version.
