As we start getting into the west, remember this is highest with temps, precipitation and snowfall. Most western states have higher, sometimes significantly so, SNOTEL stations but those don’t measure snowfall. 31. Boise City, Oklahoma— 4,133’ (1,260 m)32. Snowshoe, West Virginia— 4,847’ (1,477 m)33. Bushnell, Nebraska— 5,170’ (1,576 m)34. Paradise, Washington— 5,427’ (1,654 m)35. Custer, South Dakota— 5,480’ (1,670 m)Bushnell is the best for me

These climates all have collectively obscene amounts of spring/fall snow. I guess I'll go with Boise City for getting epic thunderstorms, dry heat, and mild winter highs.

Boise City
Surprisingly acceptable. That July is delicious. It's still crap for having big diurnal ranges and average May snowfall though.

Custer, I think... My first thought was Snowshoe, but Custer is a lot better in the warm half of the year and Snowshoe gets a lot of cold winter rain and a lot of rain in general.

Custer
Bushnell has better temps but is just too dry for my tastes.

Nebraska. Their average highs looks better than South Dakota, and I'm okay with the hot summer afternoon since the the lows help cool efficiently.
