I like 15-25°F diurnal ranges the most—that way, it's large enough to be interesting, but not so large it feels cold at night.
Discuss.

10C diurnal is good. Don’t know what that is in F.

The most interesting are >40 f diurnals but that shouldn’t be a common occurrence.
In summer I like 25-30 f diurnals for my ideal average highs. For hotter temps I like larger and lower temps I like smaller so summer lows stay in the 50s.
Outside of summer I don’t really care, as long as there’s potential for a few high diurnal days and interestingly cold temps, the average diurnal doesn’t matter. 50/40 or 50/20 makes little difference to me

20 F is ideal on average, but I prefer larger in winter and smaller in summer. Voted 20-25 F in the poll because I'd rather them slightly too large than slightly too small.

My preference really depends on the context. I like the idea of smaller diurnal ranges throughout the year, for example 81/68 winter and 91/76 summer averages - but at the same time, I like some 'crispness' to the air on mornings in the cooler months, for a larger 81/58 or 76/52 diurnal range, and I would definitely prefer bigger diurnal ranges on my big heat spike days: 109/82 as opposed to 109/94. I'll just pick the 15-20 F range to avoid being a fence-sitter. 10C diurnal is good. Don’t know what that is in F. That's 18 F.

Anything below a 20F diurnal range in winter, and preferably a 20F-25F range in summer. Winter diurnal ranges should always be smaller than those in summer.

About 15-20ºF year-round, at the lower end. However, I am ok with days having diurnals between 20-25ºF, especially if the night is cold, or the day is hot

If the high is sub-50 or so, I want <15 f diurnals. No car frost, cold evenings ruining a mild day and if it’s colder, usually snowy or wet.
If it’s hot (<85 ish), then I want larger diurnals so it cools down to at least the low 60s for comfortable sleeping.
Besides that, I don’t really care, 70/30 or 70/60 doesn’t make much difference to me. I also don’t find diurnals interesting unless they’re from a front. A high diurnal from radiational cooling is boring as there’s no weather causing it, just the diurnal cycle.

Depends on the season. I like a med pattern so I want winter to have the smallest diurnals (due to frequent overcast, precipitation and high humidity) and for summer to have the largest from radiational cooling.
A 20-30°F range is ideal for summer and for winter, more like a 10-15°F range.

Around 9°C overall. Varies depending on the sky conditions. As daily high goes warmer, prefer diurnal range to be much larger.

15-20f all year. I find both very low and high diurnal ranges interesting though
