Colorado City, Arizona and Hildale, Utah are two towns located on the Utah-Arizona border. This area is known for several things: its beauty, isolation, and being home to a polygamist cult. The area was dominated by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a fundamentalist Mormon sect which practiced polygamy. Its leader, Warren Jeffs, had absolute power over church members until he was arrested in 2007 and convicted in 2011 of two counts of sexual assault against a child. Warren Jeffs reportedly continues to lead the cult from prison. I rate Colorado City's climate a C-. It's pretty dry overall, and has large diurnal ranges resulting in late spring freezes, which I'm not a fan of. Summer and winter are pretty hot and cold but nothing too extreme. But there are far worse climates out there. As for the FLDS? Z-, fucken!

B, maybe B- due to the low annual rainfall, but its dryness itself surely makes the summer afternoons more comfortable.

Truly fucked up people. As for the climate, it's a B- with fine temps (though the lows are too cold), a nice late spring/early summer drought, and tolerably low snowfall.

B. Decent temps, however nights are overall too cool and it's too dry.
I've heard about this place before as well and it's fucking creepy.

D+, maybe C- on a good year. Winters are too chilly and the diurnal ranges are a bit intense.
It's far better than Chicago and NYC tho

fairweatherfan it seems you're picking up on forum lingo quickly! I'll give the climate the same grade as you: C-. Summers are adequately warm during the day (and I'd imagine it's handsome dry warmth too), albeit still rather arctic at night. Winters are much warmer than in my actual climate, but still too cold for my tastes, and the year is too dry as a whole.

C- It's a bit too hot and way too dry, but not bad for the region. Unrelated to climate, it looks like the town as a lot of dirt roads, which is a downside.
