Figured this might be fun, if your dream climate has an annual range less than 30 f, make a climate with double the range. If your dream climate has an annual range more than 30 f, half it. Going to make the continental lovers create a boring climate and the mild lovers create a continental climate. My dream climate has an annual range of 35.5 f, 35.5/2 = 17.75 so it would need to be under 17.8 f. Came up with this climate. Winter would have to be mild with boring temps so I made it wetterโprecipitation falls as cold fronts bringing a mix of thunderstorms, light rain and wet snow. Because winter is wetter than ideal, I made spring drier. Summer gets lots of thunderstorms.

What if my dream climate's annual range is exactly 30 F already?

What if my dream climate's annual range is exactly 30 F already? Good question, you can do either 15 f or 60 f then

My current real climate basically is my dream climate with double the annual range, that was easy

Steelernation I always love threads like this. My dream climate ranges from a mean of 46.3ยบF in January to 78.6ยบF in July (32.3ยบF range), so I will turn the range to half (16.2ยบF). Surprised that my dream climate's range is over 30ยบF actually, but it's a testament to the heat of summer that I like.
Here's what I came up with. Winters are a bit milder, summers a bit milder, and lows are very uniform across the year, as diurnal variation peaks in summer. I kept rainfall pattern, amounts, and records generally the same, with only minor edits. Pretty amazing climate IMO, still gets an A easily.

My dream climate has an annual range of 27F. I was looking at Yerevan's climate, it's pretty ideal for a climate with such a large annual range.

Add 5C to both the highs and lows and it will be a very nice climate

Add 5C to both the highs and lows and it will be a very nice climate July would average 39.5/24.9 C (103.1/76.8 F). So, a bit warmer than ideal. January would average 6.7/-2.7 C (44.1/27.1 F). I'm not sure if the milder winter makes the hotter summer worth it, personally.

Lows are too cold annually

Great idea Steelernation! Everyone has to make some compromises My dream climate's annual range is 11ยบC (19.8ยบF), so the new 'ideal' climate would have a range of 22ยบC (39.6ยบF). Here it is: (click below) IMO, it has a perfect balance of warmth and coolness (6 months each); while still having a large annual range (due to the sharp winter drop off). I did not change the sunshine nor rainfall amounts; but added snowfall (as cold fronts bring precipitation year-round; whether as t-storms, downpours or snow). I made my summers warmer more humid (but not oppressive) to compensate for the cold, relatively dry winters. Overall, I would give it a C+, as summers are a little too warm at night and winters are too cold and snowy; along with the seasonal lead in summer.

My dream climate has only around 8 degrees F of variation, so here's one with 16 degrees F of variation:
