A thread to pay homage to the wild female rockers throughout the years.... Ahhh, so many..... mad as cut snakes, talented, troubled, untamed.... I'm inspired to make this thread after recently watching 'Daisy Jones and the Six' TV series ( the lead actress is actually Elvis' grandaughter )
One of the original wild women would have to be Janis Joplin....taken far too soon aged only 27. She was no supermodel, but what a performer !
Anyway, post up ya wild women rockers...

Of course, no list of wild women rockers would be complete without Joan Jett ...
And she was an original band member of The Runaways...

No list would be complete without Seattle based rockers Thunderpussy... they make list based simply on the band name !

Imagine if this line up was around in the 21st Century ! All hotties !! Here's a promotional photo of the Detroit area band, the Pleasure Seekers, taken in 1967 at Trude Heller's club in Greenwich Village, New York City. The band played the venue on several occasions and Suzi Quatro talks about some of her experiences there in her memoir, 'Unzipped'. Some pretty entertaining reading in the Quatro book by the way. At this point in time the Pleasure Seekers lineup is L-R keyboardist & vocalist Arlene Quatro-Fenn, drummer Darline Arnone, vocalist & bassist Suzi Quatro, rhythm guitarist Eileen Biddlingmeier, and lead guitar Patti Quatro. Eileen would leave the group and was replaced by Loreleis band guitarist Pami Benford (a Detroit area group). Within two years the youngest Quatro sister, Nancy, would join the Pleasure Seekers. The band would soon thereafter morph into the harder rockin' band, Cradle. Arlene would leave the band...and in late 1971 Suzi would leave Cradle and move to England, beginning her solo career. Cradle would disband in 1973.
