Gets a surprising amount of snow and variability. That said, summer is terrible though so it gets a C.

D
Kazakhstan has muuuuuch better climates. I wouldn't really enjoy it there tbh. Lacklustre winters and hot af summers.

Places in inland south PA, like York have strikingly similar average winter temps and precipitation amounts, and get about 25" of snow annually. Though given the eastern US propensity for warm front rains, Shymkent could get more than this.

Obviously not as good as colder places like Astana or Almaty.

Eh, might have to downgrade it to a B- then, especially if snowcover is consistent.

It's like a Mediterranean version of Northern China's climate.
It's okay, I rate a C

No way would they have consistent snow cover with those winter temps. 40-50" is not enough to overcome the too mild temps. Anyways, this climate is meh. Too warm and precip pattern sucks, and those summers are awful, but it's not totally terrible. I give it a D.

Shitment...Tries hard at being Med but fails. Just remain subarctic gurl. A solid D because the summers are pleasant.

Amazing 4 seasons climate. B because winters are colder than I like and the summers are too dry.

C-, too much of a seasonal range and precipitation bias (especially in the cold direction, but mid-March to mid-June and mid-August to late-October don't look too shabby)
